Universities in Japan are classified as national university, public university and private university, and all the universities belong to different corporations. University teachers include professor, associate professor, instructor and assistant teacher. Open employment system with transparent processes and strict requirements for teacher is adopted for appointing teacher. However, the scholar-tyrants＇ idea and inter-reproducing phenomena exist among teachers. The Traditional system of life tenure is shifting to the one of term appointment for teachers.
