As a kind of compliant floating platform in deep water, TLP global analysis is important for design of platform. It addresses computational efficiency and treatment of identified coupling effects. This paper introduces basic structure and motion characteristics of TLE It analyses global analysis method including frequency-domain solution and time-domain solution. It combines basic analysis techniques to obtain different analysis strategies. It serves as basis for further work on TLP global analysis.
