The construction of regional innovation chain is an important way to enhance the competitiveness of regional industrial chain and promote the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.On the basis of clarifying the connotation and interrelations of innovation chain and industrial chain, this paper analyzes in depth the problems existing in the innovation chain of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area： basic research is weak, the proportion of each link in the development of innovation chain is imbalanced; the capacity of enterprises as the main body of innovation is relatively weak,innovation resources of Beijing and Tianjin is dislocated with their positioning; regional innovation chain is out of line with industry chain, the industrial integration between Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei is blocked; the innovation clusters are of small amount and imperfect development, regional innovation linksare not smooth. Based on the practical problems, the suggestion of speeding up the construction of regional innovation chain are as follows ： promotinginnovation capacity of supply side ; encoura- ging enterprises to carry out research and development activities,guiding the reorganization and cooperation of innovation activities in Beijing and Tianjin; refining the development direction of innovation chain, promoting effective grafting of industry chain and innovation chain; the effective link of all aspects of innovation chain. reinforcing the bases of innovation activities to ensure the effective link of all aspects of innovation chain.
