Tujia Ethnic Group’s intangible cultural heritage in western Hunan is not only an im-portant part of national intangible cultural heritage,but also a cultural treasure that integrates tradi-tional craftsmanship,folk music and folk dance.However,the fierce collision between modern multi-civilization and Tujia intangible cultural heritage has led the latter towards marginalization and disap-pearance.Therefore,it is necessary to protect this intangible cultural heritage.The idea of conserving intangible cultural heritage should be established;inheritors should be cultivated;and related tourism resources and capital investment channels should be reasonably explored in order to eventually guaran-tee a better conservation and development for this profound ethnic cultural heritage.
