利用2004~2007年中国工业企业数据库,数量化测算了我国企业层面的性别工资差距,并实证研究了外资进入对我国工业企业性别工资差距的影响。研究发现,外资进入对我国工业企业性别工资差距有显著负向的影响,外资进入每增加1%,性别工资差距降低约0.13%。在使用不同外资进入的衡量方式,区分不同地区子样本以及解决了内生性问题后,仍然得到了稳健一致的结果。这主要是由于外资进入程度较高的地区和行业往往具有更大的竞争压力,以及外资企业推行的"同工同酬"价值理念为本土企业带来了示范效应。
We empirically assess the influence of foreign investment access on gender wage gap in China industry enterprises in the period of 2004-2007. The gender wage gap was calculated by econometric method. We find that for- eign investment access exerts on obviously negative influence on the gender wage gap. I% increase of foreign investment access will cause the gender wage gap increase by 0.13%.We test the robustness by using different measurement of foreign investment access, district's subsample and controlling the endogeneity. We hold the opinion that discrimination cannot endure in an increasingly competi- tive environment through foreign investment access. Moreover, the"equal pay"val- ue advanced by foreign enterprises has a demonstration effect on local enterprises.
