为了在四川寻找适用于铸造用石英砂生产的石英矿物资源,根据铸造用石英砂技术指标,采用多种检测方法,系统研究了四川沐川黄丹石英砂岩及其加工产物的工艺矿物学特征,以及这些特征与铸造用石英砂应用的关系,结果表明:该矿石的 SiO2和石英的质量分数分别为93%~96%和90%左右,分布于石英颗粒间的黏土矿物(质量分数为8%左右)可通过擦洗工艺有效除去;石英的天然粒度在32~80目之间,所加工的玻璃工业用石英砂粒度95%以上集中在40~140目之间,其中40~70目达76.42%,很好满足铸造用石英砂粒度大小与集中度要求;石英颗粒的天然粒形主要呈圆形-次棱角状,矿石及其加工产物的石英颗粒角形因数≤1.3。因此,该矿石是 SiO2含量、含泥量、粒度集中度和角形因数等关键技术指标同时满足铸造用石英砂加工要求的优质石英矿物资源,以它为原料生产的40/70、50/100、70/140等不同型号铸造用石英砂产品符合国家和相关企业质量标准。
In order to find quartz mineral resources suitable for producing the foundry quartz sand in Sichuan,according to the technical indicators of foundry quartz sand,this paper studies systematically the process mineralogy features of the quartzose sandstone ore from Muchuan in Sichuan and its processing products by multiple detection methods.This paper also discusses the relationship between those features and the application of the foundry quartz sand.The results show that the content of SiO2 and quartz in this ore are about 93%~96% and 90% respectively,and that of the clay mineral between quartz grains is about 8% which can be effectively removed by scrubbing process.The natural granularity of quartz is 32 ~80 mesh,the granularity of its proceeding quartz sand for glass industry is 40 ~140 mesh,accounting over 95%,and the granularity from 40 to 70 mesh accounts 76.42%.This meets the requirement of the granularity concentration of the foundry quartz sand very well.The natural grain shape of quartz grains mainly is round-subangular,and the quartz grains angularity of the ore and its processed product is ≤1.3.Therefore,the ore is the high quality quartz mineral resources of the foundry quartz sand because all the key technical indicators,including SiO2 content,clay content,particle concentration and angular factor meet the requirements of the foundry quartz sand.The foundry quartz sand products,including 40/70,50/100 and 70/140 which are made of the ore accord with the national and related manufactory quality standards.
