Two new polyhydroxysteroids have been isolated from Chromonephthea sp.collected from Naozhou Islands of the South China Sea.Their structures were established as 24-methylcholest-5-en-3β,12β,16β,20-tetraol（1） and 24-ethylcholest-5-en-3β,12β,16β,20-tetraol（2） by MS,IR,^1H NMR,^13C NMR（DEPT）,HSQC,HMBC and NOE techniques.Both of them are previously unknown compounds and showed weak cytotoxicity against the cancer cell lines.
