To explore the synthesis and photophysical properties of 1, 2, 4-triazole derivatives, 4-amino-3, 5-bis (o-hydroxyphenyl)-l, 2, 4-triazole was synthesized by improved methods of dihydrazide cyclization. The effect of reactant ratio, reaction temperature, reaction time and amount of catalyst on the yield were discussed. Its structure has been fully characterized by FT-IR,1H NMR, MS and elemental analysis. The electronic absorption and fluorescence properties of the object compound have been investigated.
