As coal-fired power plants possess a certain track of the life cycle, study about the life cycle of coal-fired power generators have great implications in theory and reality. Based on the theory of the life cycle of a venture, an index system for defining a venture＇s life cycle phase is created focusing on five aspects of profitability, growth, performance, debt-paying ability and cash flow. Based on a quarterly financial data of Zhengzhou Coal-fired Power Generation Company from 2007 to 2013, financial index weight in the whole and at each phase are calculated by the approach of AHP and Entropy Weight. And then the conclusion is made that the company is in its growing stage by using the method of differentiation setting a short distance as standard.
