重点从语词使用、概念属性、范围界定三个方面对＂大城市连绵区＂及相关概念进行了分析和讨论。基于国家战略考虑,建议规范两类通用概念,即国际视野的＂大城市连绵区＂和国家视野的＂城镇密集区＂。大城市连绵区的范围界定宜采用周一星教授关于都市连绵区的界定标准,城镇密集区的范围界定应结合相关研究成果进行修订。
英文摘要：
This paper is to discuss the concept of Megalopolis and the alternative ones in terms of their phraseology,attribute and range.Considering the national view,the common concept should be summed up as two types： One is＂Megalopolis＂,in terms of a international view;the other is Town-cluster,in terms of a national view.The criterion of Megalopolis is preferable to use the concept of the＂MIR＂defined by Prof Zhou Yi-xing,and the definition of Town-cluster should be emended based on subsistent researches.
