With methods of equipment preventive maintenance, this article studied the appointment quantity of radiology departments of West China Hospital,Sichuan University,to identify the pattern of appointments for high-value medical equipments.Based the above findings and laws for medical equipment wear and failure, a scientific and reasonable preventive maintenance plan was formulated. This plan proves significant for enhancing the reliability and productivity of such equipments,minimizing equipment failure,and downsizing hospital equipment maintenance costs and hospital operation costs as a whole.
