在经过改造的用于瞬变物种和自由基研究的瞬态紫外光电子能谱仪基础上,研制了新的紫外光电子能谱-飞行时间质谱仪(UPS-TOFMS)。飞行时间质谱部分安装在紫外光电子能谱仪电离室一侧,质谱分辨率优于400。用新仪器对稳定化合物丙酮、苯、碘甲烷、碘和微波放电过程中产生的瞬变物种进行了初步实验研究,获得的质谱结果与能谱对应相当好。紫外光电子能谱-飞行时间质谱仪进一步提高了瞬变物种和自由基原位产生和原位探测的研究能力。
A new ultraviolet photoelectron spectrometer-time of flight mass spectrometer (UPS-TOFMS) has been developed based on an improved ultraviolet photoelectron spectrometer for the study of transient species and radicals. The time of flight mass spectrometer is installed by the side of the ionization chamber of ultraviolet photoelectron spectrometer. The resolution of the mass spectrometer is better than 400. The stable compounds (acetone, benzene, methyl iodide and iodine) and transient species produced during microwave discharge process were studied preliminarily with the new instrument. The mass spectrometric results match well with photo-electron spectra. The UPS-TOFMS further enhanced the ability for in-situ study of transient species and radicals.
