As a main historical literature recording the gens in Huizhou,Huizhou genealogy has a set of systematic compilation theory and method.In the compilation of Huizhou genealogy in Qing Dynasty,the compilers attached great importance on the inheritance and innovation of the genealogy compilation theory,specifically reflected in the attention paid to the inheritance and development of the genealogy style,the collection and classification of the genealogy literature,as well as the enlightenment and the incentive functions of the genealogy.The compilation of Genealogy of Li＇s Family in Guantian adheres to the above features,takes over the compilation theory and method of the previous generation and makes improvement.Deep research on the compilation features and specific contents of this genealogy is of vital significance to the research on the change and transformation of the rural society in Huizhou in Qing dynasty.
