Haptic visualization is a technology of combining graphic with haptic by virtural reality technology, which can provide the feeling of virtual environment for master manipulator. This paper introduces research characteristics and application foreground of haptic visualization, generalizes the merits and the demerites of four systems, and also compares their performances. Finally, we discuss the tendency ofhaptic visualization.
