Proteomics is a new subject which depends on high through-put and high automatic techniques to analyze proteins encoded by genes.Different techniques of proteomics have been widely used in Diabetes research.The techniques of the proteome extraction,separation and analysis(2DE,chromatography,MS) and the bioinformatics are briefly introduced.In addition,the application of proteome technique in the T1DM,T2DM,insulin resistance and drug discovery is also reviewed.
