英文摘要：

Objective To discuss the application of systems biology in acupuncture research. Methods The concept, connotation and history of systems biology were summarized. The relationship between systems biology and acupuncture science was analyzed. Results The application of systems biology in acupuncture research includes the study of the components of acupuncture effect on target organs and relevant organs and of their relationships, the study of acupuncture point-effect, time-effect and quantity-effect relationships, an analysis of the biological mode of acupuncture effect, and the scientific discoveries based on acupuncture research. Conclusion A combination of systems biology and acupuncture science is not only a new cut-in point of acupuncture research but also a new start of study in systems biology. It will produce a far-reaching influence on the development of modem acupuncture science and life science.
