According to existing problems of pedestrian crossing devices arrangement and insufficiency of actual criterions, significance of developing expert system on choosing pedestrian crossing devices has been explained. Model functions, architecture system and working memory have been established. Main contents of expert knowledge have been described, including related influences, such as kinds of pedestrian crossing devices, basic choosing principles, characters of pedestrian crossing, conditions of different device arrangements and choosing flow. Finally, generation method of final results has been introduced.
