It reveals the influence of the private gardens on the different stages of Zhang Weiping＇s life, through collecting four privategardens （the old house in Qingshuimoat, South Villa, East Garden, and Tingsong Garden）of Zhang Weiping who was the important poetin the transition period of late Qing Dynasty to modern timesand related literature and history. Tingsong Garden built in his later yearswas his first garden in the real sense. It was very important in his heart. We can understand his mind through this garden. Garden is notonly the enjoyment of life, but also the spiritual sustenance for him. The construction of garden is the accumulation of his life experienceand is the expression of his aesthetic ideas and value orientation.
