Traditional Chinese Medicine （TCM） prescription, as the primary form in clinic of Chinese Medicine, plays an important role in developing Chinese Patent Medicine. With more and more government support on TCM, and the development of modem analytical instruments and technology, the research of TCM, especially compound material base, gets rapid development. Compound material base can clarify the medicinal efficacy, mechanism and action root of TCM, which is the guarantee of safety and quality control of TCM. The current research status of TCM＇s efficacy material base and common research methods were reviewed, the develooment trend and aDnlication nrosneet werealso discussed.
