It is helpful in improving the accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of the evaluation methods for animal models of alcoholic liver disease( ALD), making them more scientific and promoting the further research on the pathogenesis of ALD and the drug screening and development for the disease that metabo- nomics and proteomics based on modem analytical techniques are introduced into the evaluation system for animal models of ALD. The application of metabonomics and proteomics based on modem analytical techniques in the evaluation on animal models of ALD in recent years was reviewed.
