Subconscious geography is a new branch after behavior geography. It makes up the insufficiency of tradition at behavior ge ography. And it plays its role in human concern as a modem branch. So it would be useful for flawless humanity, and people＇s sustainable development, and for basic harmony between man - land relationship. This paper has studied deeply the nucleus theory, research object, research method of potential consciousness geography. Based on above researches, the significance of its practice and its theory and discipline function has been revealed in the paper. Some theories are used such as Einstein＇s Relativity and the theory of man - Earth Holographic Unified and mind - matter unifying to explain meaning of the space - time field of humanity, and meaning of the conseiousness field of humanity. The research has great academic and practical significance.
