幅员辽阔的黄河流域集存着众多保护完好的传统聚落,呈现着丰富而独特的地域特征。本文以山西省孝义宋家庄为研究对象,试对这一聚落及其民居的结构布局、空间组织和形态特征等进行初步分析和探讨。为我国传统聚落的规划技术和实践的研究提供可参考的资料。聚落形态特征分:'择水而居、择平地而处'的选址原则;'注重整体、层次分明'的布局特征;'主次有序、秩序井然'的街巷组织;'外筑高墙、堡中设堡'的防御模式。就民居形态而言,其建筑形式多以砖拱窑洞明柱厦檐四合院为主,体现了秀丽古朴的民居特色和深厚的文化内涵。
