对大猿叶虫生物学特性研究的结果表明,在山东省泰安市田间,该虫有两个明显的危害期,分别出现在春季和秋季,以成虫在土中越夏和越冬,年发生1~2代,部分隔年繁殖。滞育成虫于3月中旬至4月下旬陆续出土繁殖。在25℃下,成虫产卵期为11-34d,每雌产卵量平均861粒。第1代成虫5月中旬全部入土越夏。越夏成虫于8月下旬至9月中旬出土繁殖。在25℃下,产卵期为13-26d,每雌产卵量平均775粒。第2代成虫10月下旬前陆续入土越冬。雌雄一生能多次交配,卵、幼虫和蛹的发育起点温度分别为11.9、11.2、10.2℃。滞育成虫的寿命为5~24个月。

英文摘要:

The biological characteristics of Colaphellus bowringi Baly (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) were studied. The results showed that it had two distinct infestation peaks in the field in Taian of Shandong Province, one in spring and the other in autumn. The beetle aestivated and hibernated as adults in the soil. There was 1-2 generations per year. Some individuals take more than one year to complete one generation. Diapausing adults began to appear from soil from mid-March to the end of April. Under 25℃, the egg-laying period of most females was 11-34 days, and the female could lay 861 eggs on average. The adults of first generation began to burrow into soil for dormancy after feeding for several days before mid-May. In autumn, diapausing adults appeared from soil from the end of August to mid-December. Under 25℃, their egg-laying period was 13-26 days, and the female could lay as many as 775 eggs on average. The adults of second generation diapaused before the end of October. The adults could mate many times during their reproductive period. Developmental thresholds of the egg, larvae and pupae were 11.9℃, 11.2℃ and 10. 2℃, respectively. The life span of diapausing adults ranged from 5 to 27 months.
