英文摘要：
This review mainly discusses the variation of diapause traits including the incidence of diapause, critical photoperiod, diapause intensity, the types of photoperiodic response, diapause stages, sensitivity to diapause inducing factors, conditions for freeing from diapause and cold - hardiness in insects which comes from different regions. The significance of adaptation in evolution and inheritance mode certified by reciprocal crosses are also analyzed.
