英文摘要：
The fuzzy variable assessment method was put forward, and its principle was introduced. The method was applied to assessmem of water resources sustainable utilization in Xi＇ an City, and the variability analysis of the result demonstrated the high suitability of the fuzzy variable assessment method. Through the comparison of the result of assessment with that of the matter element method, the mathematical logic mistake of the matter element method was pointed out. Moreover, the fuzzy variable assessment method can be applied to other fields.
