英文摘要：

This paper investigates the effect of the specific asset investment of the purchasers and farmers on the farmer＇s trust, and the effect of farmer＇s trust on the relationship stability in the relationship of contractual agricuhural products channel between the purchasers and farmers. Empirical study shows that the specific asset investment of the purchasers will enhance the farmer＇s trust, which will be strengthened by farmer＇s specific asset investment. Meanwhile, the farmer＇s trust increases the possi- bility to renew the contract and decrease the possibility of breaching contract. Moreover, government support can enhance the positive effect of farmer＇s trust on the willingness to renew the contract, but can undermine the negative effect of farmer＇s trust on the possibility of breaching the contract. This study finding extends the applicability of effect of specific asset investment on trust in the traditional channels, and points out the importance of locked channel relationship to trust, which offers a new perspective for studying the contractual stability in the channel of agricultural products. Furthermore, this study also finds the importance of the government support to the relationship stability of contractual channel of agricultural products, which offers implications for making managerial policy for the contractual channel of agricultural products.
