According to the characteristics and the main prob- lems existing in the teaching process of ＂Engineering Thermo- dynamics＂, and according to the students＇ knowledge structure, theoretical foundation and the accepting ability. We research several methods such as using the advancing teaching method, further analyzing the classic examples, optimizing the evalua- tion and examination criterion and arranging exploration work to improve the teaching quality of ＂Engineering Thermodynam- ics＂. We receive very good teaching effect through the reform of teaching ideas and methods, as well as increasing the content and methods of examination.
