职业性别隔离指在劳动力市场中劳动者因性别不同而被分配、集中到不同的职业类别,从事不同性质的工作.职业性别隔离是测度性别不平等的一个重要指标.国外对于职业性别隔离的研究主要集中在职业性别隔离的理论、测量方法和变迁趋势上.国内对于职业性别隔离的研究主要是在借鉴国外的理论和方法的基础上对职业性别隔离的成因、影响和趋势做了分析研究.通过梳理和介绍中外职业性别隔离研究现状,分析国内现有研究的不足并提出深入研究的思路.
Occupational gender segregation means that employees are assigned with different works because of their genders rather than competence or other criteria. Occupational gender segregation is an important indicator for the measurement of gender inequality. Overseas studies of occupational gender segregation are mainly engaged in theories, measurement methods, and trends of changes; while domestic studies are mainly focused on the analyses of cause, effect and tendency by referring to overseas theories and research methods. Through synthesizing and introducing different overseas and domestic studies on occupational gender segregation, this paper points out the inadequacy of existing research and proposes more research approaches for further studies in the future.
