The research progress in solar cells is reviewed. The c-Si solar cell is stepping to high efficiency solar cell presently. The study of solar cell is focusing on the thin film solar cell, especially the poly-Si solar, since it is low cost and high efficiency. The third generation solar cell is on the first step, a brief introduction is given.
