A series of aromatic aldehyde hydrazones including the 2-thiazolyl unit have been designed and synthesized by the cyclization of thiosemicarbazones with ω-bromoacetophenone, in which thiosemicarbazones were prepared by the condensation reaction of aromatic aldehyde with thiosemicarbazide. The structures of the products were established by IR, ^1H NMR and MS spectra.
