Based on the research sample of 110 R＆D team leaders,this article discusses the influence of leader’s political skill on team leader＇s boundary spanning behavior through the mediating role of trust. This study finds that leader’s political skill have a positive effect on team leader’s diplomatic behavior, coordinating behavior and detection behavior. While cognition-based trust plays a partial mediating role in leader’s political skill and team leader＇s diplomatic behavior and coordination behavior,emotion-based trust plays a partial mediating role between leader’s political skill and team leader’s diplomatic behavior, but a full mediating role between leader’s political skill and team leader’s coordination behavior.
