The composite trapezoid rule and the composite Simpson rule are derived for numerical triple integrals. The asymptotic truncation error estimates are presented. The composite trapezoid rule is second order convergent and the composite Simpson rule is fourth order convergent. The extrapolation algorithms are given for each method. The fourth order accurate approximation can be obtained with once extrapolation of the composite trapezoid rule. The sixth order accurate approximation can be arrived with once extrapolation of the composite Simpson rule. Two numerical examples are given to testify the validity of the theoretical results.
