Single industrial structure and limited mineral resources of our country have become main obstacles of sustainable development of mining city. Therefore, adjustment of industrial structure and selection of substitution industry for the mining industry of the mining city have become main contents of industrial conversion of the mining city. The present situation of the mining city of our country, concrete thought of multielement industry and selection principle of leading industry are discussed from these two aspects, which provides the theoretic basis for industrial conversion of the mining city.
