Qiemo oasis is located in south - east margin of ecologically fragile areas in the Tarim Basin, and it has the extreme drought climate, scarce precipitation and intense evaporation intense. Qiemo Oasis is benefited from Cherchen River irrigation, and formed irrigation agriculture with a long history. In recent years, due to rapid population growth, a lot of land reclamation, unreasonable use of water resources, soil salinization and its own natural disasters seriously troubled Qiemo Oasis and its economic sustainable development. According to fieldwork in Qiemo Oasis, statistic data and on the basis of the ecological environment characteristic analysis, this research made fully analysis for the regional ecological security challenges and discussed the direction of sustainable development and feasible way for Qiemo Oasis.
