门禁社区在全球蔓延的现象已经引起了学术界的广泛关注。对于门禁社区在中国的大量兴起，国内外学者从城市规划学、城市社会学、政治经济学、心理学等不同角度进行了研究与诠释。文章对不同时期、级别和区域聚落的封闭现象进行了研究，并试图通过对传统聚落与门禁社区在物质形态、组织管理模式及与外界关系等方面进行比较，研究门禁社区与中国传统聚落的关系。通过分析，文章认为中国门禁社区是中国传统封闭居住模型在新时代的延续与演变。

英文摘要：

The global phenomenon of gated community has drew wide concern in academics. In order to explore the origin of gated community in China, this paper conducts a historical research about the phenomenon of enclosed settlements in different periods around the country. It tries to make a comparison of traditional settlements and gated community in terms of form and the mode of organization and management, especially focusing on the relation between traditional settlements and gated community. Based on the analysis, the paper argues that the gated community is, to some extent, an evolution of Chinese traditional enctosed living model in new era. However, it differentiates itself from predecessors in the ways of combination and operation.
