The hero epic King Yalu is an oral history narrative long poem in folk rhyme. And King Yalu is a center figure in this multi-text. The content of this epic is vast and in which the folklore is rich and varied, the cultural connotation of the poetic folklore has a unique academic research value. In this article, the conception of universe in the epic, the the Book of Chicken and the chicken bone divination, the Miao taboo are under discussed. At the same time, it also makes a brief analysis of the relationship between the folklore and the epic culture.
