[Purpose/Significance] On the basis of analysis of the content, spread process and elements of Intemet rumors, taking rumorspread process as the main line, an Internet Rumor Spread Effectiveness Evaluation System was constructed based on the spread characteris- tics of rumor itself. [ Method/Process ] Through all the primary and secondary indicators, their meanings were described, and the appropri- ate evaluation criteria and indicators were given. Finally, the index system of three actual cases was analyzed. [ Result/Conclusion ] The e- valuation system established in this paper can facilitate a scientific and reasonable evaluation of the spread efficacy of Intenet rumor, and provides a useful reference for an improved network information management for the relevant government department.
