To meet the individual and changing demand of the small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, this paper designs and realizes a multi-tier SmartERP system based on .NET. Various design patterns are used. The system can be tailored, its components can be plus in and out and it can provide flexible core services such as common data access, object cache and so on. Practice proves that it is flexible, can be integrated with electronic commerce system seamlessly and provide support for enterprise-level decision.
