传统的技术追赶观点拘泥于引进消化吸收再创新的知识追赶思维，但是基础研究在产业创新发展的作用并没有得到进一步的研究。而且中国也习惯于集合国家层面的宏观需求对基础研究进行自上而下的资助，往往忽视了产业需求引致的基础研究也是国家资助基础研究的重要方式之一。本文对高铁产业需求引致基础研究的过程进行深度研究，构建了产业需求引致基础研究的四阶段演进过程。研究结论表明：产业需求引致的基础研究模式是一种点对点技术创新的管理模式：中国产业发展过程中特有的需求对基础研究有积极贡献：探究国外已经成熟技术背后的基础理论，仍然是中国产业核心技术发展必不可少的阶段；政府创造出的大规模和一体化的市场为产业介入基础研究提供了强有力支撑。

英文摘要：

The existing literature fails to deeply explore the role that basic researches play in the industrial catch-up of developing countries. This paper discusses the dynamic stage evolution process between basic researches and industry demand through an in-depth case study on basic researches induced by China high-speed trains. The case study result shows that： （1） China＇s specific industry demand has a positive contribution to basic researches; （2） exploration into the basic theory behind the advanced and matured technologies abroad is still essential for China＇s industrial development; and （3） the large and integrated market created by the government has provided strong supports for basic researches induced by industry demand.
