International students＇ adaptation to cross- cultural education is a dynamic developmental process,in which they have to meet various cross- cultural challenges due to different influencing factors. From the perspective of their cultural adaptation stages,this paper intends to discuss such main cross- cultural adaptation pressures that international students meet as linguistic and academic adaptation,educational adaptation and social cultural adaptation,and analyze such factors influencing their cross- cultural adaptation as native language culture,self- efficacy,motivation and social distance so as to provide some enlightenment for international students ＇cross- cultural adaptation training in institutes of higher education.
