This essay takescalamities derived from the transient population settlement as the research object, andproposes disaster prevention and control strategies of transient population settlement from four aspect of disaster-prevent mechanism, disaster warning system, space precaution, disaster lightening and controlling consciousness, by analyzing the disaster-causing factors and the disaster-causing mechanism of fire disaster, securitydisaster and public saeitationdisaster in transient population settlements. Basing on the characteristics and the requirements of the transient population settlement, it not only proposes space disaster optimization strategies, but also stresses the un-engineering measures of comprehensive disasterprevention mechanism, disaster supervision and warning system, promotion of disaster lightening and controlling consciousness to controlling and reducing the causing and the sprawlingof the calamities derived from the transient population settlement, and consummating the construction of the system of urban disaster reduction and prevention .
