Trillium family of Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis is a perennial herb, with cancer,bleeding and other effects,and broad market prospect, but exists in the actual production of seed germination cycle long and germination rate low. To shorten the seed germination time and increase the germination rate, this experiment cultures the seed of Paris ployphylla Smith var. yunnanensis on callus from Panax notoginseng in light circumstance and dark circumstance. The experiment results indicate that the dark culture can significantly shorten the germination time of the seed in the callus from Panax notoginseng, the fastest in tenth days to start germination,germination peak between 20-30 days, the average germination rate was 12.5%.
