Chinese passive sentence has always been the hot topic of the grammarians. The special passive grammatical markers ＂being＂ appeared in Chinese Ancient Zhoushu, which was included in Shangshu, but they were not found in any other literatures handed down from the ancient times. This paper discussed the typical characteristics of the passive sentences and the semantic types of prepositional object in formal passive sentences and the formation reasons and mechanism of ＂being＂, which has important theoretical value in the development of the Chinese passive sentence research.
