A novel carbazole derivative, ( E ) - ( 9-ethylcarbazol-3 -yl ) -N- ( 3,5 -dimethyl-1,2,4-triazol- 4-yl)-methanimine (1) , was synthesized by reaction of 3-aldehyde-9-ethylcarbazole and 4-amido-3,5- dimethyl-1,2,4-triazole.
