Based on the systemic analysis of ten years＇ （from 2005 to 2014） data from the sci-tech novelty retrieval station of the Ministry of Education, this paper described the current status of sci-tech novelty retrieval work from quantity, team construction and literature construction. Moreover, it discussed the trends of sci-tech novelty retrieval work and presented suggestions on how to improve the sci-tech novelty retrieval in the future.
