Edge detection is a basic technique in image processing and computer vision,A new algorithm for image edge detection which is based on Walsh-Haar type transform is presented in this paper,The result of experiments indicates that the algorithm has a good effective ability of image edge detection.The method is not only very slmple,but also has superior detection results that it has more edges than those traditional detection methods.
