肿瘤的发生、发展以及转移与糖链的表达密切相关,肿瘤细胞糖基化修饰的改变能够影响细胞的周期调控和细胞的增殖能力,促进肿瘤的发展;细胞在不同的生长周期中多种糖基化水平发生着改变,这种糖基变化同时影响着细胞周期的进程。该文综述了糖链表达与细胞周期的关系,包括不同细胞周期糖基转移酶活性和糖链表达水平的变化,以及糖链表达水平对细胞周期进程和细胞增殖能力的影响,并试图从糖生物学中寻找新的抗肿瘤研究靶点。
It is well known that oligosaccharides in glycoproteins and glycolipids play crucial roles in a variety of cellular functions, such as proliferation, differentiation, and intercellular communications. The oligosaccharides of cell are increasingly being recognized as one of the most prominent biochemical alterations associated with malignant transformation and tumorigenesis. Glycosylations in different cell cycle and cell growth periods are significantly distinct, and these differences affect the cell cycle progression. In the past decades, along with the advances in genomics and pro-teomics, the functional significance of cancer-associated changes in glycosylation has been revealed. Eukaryotic organisms depend on an intricate and evolutionary conserved cell cycle to control cell devision. Mistakes in cell cycle process lead to cancer. This review highlights the relations between changes in cancer cells.
