How can Israel become a start-up nation？ Most previous researches attributed its success to one or several factors, but lacked exploration the mechanism of action among these factors. ＇Taking Start-up nation： The story of Israel＇s economic miracle＇ as a sample, first we find five factors that affect the success of entrepreneurship in Israel by analyzing the frequency of words and critical events. The five factors are geopolitical environment, compulsory military service, immigrants, culture, and venture capital. Then we analyze the mechanism of action of the five factors and the intrinsic essence of compulsory military service by content analyzing. Finally, we eliminate the rival explanations, and indicate the implications for China to promote technology entrepreneurship.
