三亚的海滨旅游城市化现象在国内具有典型性。通过回顾三亚近20年来城市发展历程，系统考察了海滨旅游推动下三亚城市发展的总体特征，发现尽管三亚城市经济增长显著，但也存在一些不容忽视的问题。包括：城市经济基础仍相对薄弱，由于缺少旅游相关产业的支撑，旅游收入漏损严重；城市经济波动性明显，经济系统表现出较高的敏感性和不稳定性；经济结构、消费结构、主客文化、居住空间等愈益显现出二元性特征，相对超前的旅游业和相对滞后的城市经济社会文化环境之间的矛盾愈益突出。
英文摘要：
Sanya is the only tropical coastal city in China, which is a typical case study in researching on coastal tourism urbanization. The paper reviews the urban development path since late 1980s, and explores the characteristics of Sanya urban development, which is mainly driven by coastal tourism development. The paper finds out that, even coastal tourism related industries play important roles in urban development, several impacts impose great challenges to the Sanya future development. These include relative weakness of urban economy and big leakage in tourism income, high fluctuation and low stability, high dualization in aspects of urban consumption structure, host-guest civilization, industrial structure and urban morphology, etc.
