Adaptive control is considered over a class of uncertain nonlinear time - delay system. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequalities (LMI) approach, the time-delay term is dealt with and the adaptive controller and feedback controller are cleverly constructed in the system. By estimating the unknown parameters of nonlinear part, the adaptive controller compensates the nonlinear part, and ensures that the dosed-loop system is asymptotically stable. Finally, numerical examples and simulation results verify the effectiveness of the designed controller.
